Dr. V.G. Mohan Prasad has been awarded the “Best Performing Doctor” by Government of Tamil Nadu’s health and family welfare minister Dr.C. Vijayabaskar for his 32 years of exceptional contributions to the medical industry. In the occasion, he was one among four private doctors who received this prestigious honour.
VGM Hospital celebrated its 10th anniversary in Coimbatore with a flagship program “Gastro Update 2019”. Tamil Nadu former DGP Mr.K.Radhakrishnan, Padma Shri Actor Mr.Vivek and the Chairman of KG Hospitals Dr.G.Bakthavatchalam participated as the Chief Guest and the event hosted many leading doctors from India.
In the event, Padma Shri Actor Mr. Vivek and Liver Transplantation & HPB Surgeon Dr.Mohamed Rela have been presented with the “Change Maker” Award. And, along with the Chairman of KG Hospitals Dr. G.Bakthavatchalam, 23 Doctors were honoured with various prestigious awards for their notable services in the medical field.
VGM Hospital Chairman Dr. V G Mohan Prasad spoke about the gastro update program and VGM Foundation and its intention to launch a massive hepatitis eradication program by screening more than 55,000 people in 21 villages of Annur.

VGM Hospital conducted a hepatitis awareness procession at Singanallur, Coimbatore. The Chairman of VGM Hospital Dr. V.G. Mohan Prasad presided over the event.
From the recent survey made in Coimbatore, it is found that over 8 percent of people are affected by Hepatitis B and C.
Specifically, in the Annur region there is a high prevalence of hepatitis C. Previously, various medical camps were held and free treatment was given for the patients by VGM hospital. Following that VGM Hospital is about to launch another campaign on August 11th and aims to eliminate this chronic hepatitis C from the face of Annur through an intensive door to door survey.
Dr. V.G. Mohan Prasad, the Chairman of VGM Hospital, since the 90’s, has begun to screen many underprivileged people for hepatitis B and C, has administered vaccinations free of cost.
He has treated over 15000 patients under the Government scheme.
He conducted various awareness programs and campaigns in and around the villages of Coimbatore. For his 32 years of outstanding service to the medical field, Tamil Nadu State Government identified and recognized Dr V.G. Mohan Prasad with the “Best Performing Doctor” award, which was presented by the Tamil Nadu’s Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. C Vijayabaskar.
Entering into the 10th year of service to mankind, VGM hospital organized a flagship program “Gastro Update 2019” and also awarded 23 doctors for their noble service in the field of medicine.

Over 350 doctors attended this program and 23 doctors along with Padma Sri Dr.G.Bakthavatchalam and Padma Shri Actor Mr.Vivek were honored with various prestigious awards for their services to the society and respective fields.

Residents of GV Residency, Uppilipalayam, Coimbatore, came together to plant saplings as a part of the afforestation project recently. Corporation Commissioner Sravan Kumar Jatavath was the chief guest andplanted the first sapling. VGM Hospital Chairman Dr.V.G.Mohan Prasad, Dr.Suman & Dr. Madhura also participated, distributed and planted saplings, over 5000 saplings were planted using the Miyawaki method to grow a fast, strong and dense forest within two years.
